“God bless them, true common heritage of mankind. Masters of humbleness, peace, joy, love and the art of exorcism. With a lifelong practical knowledge of hundreds of medicinal plants, they are a living encyclopaedia condensing millenary wisdom, plant medicine, knowledge of the illnesses and of the spiritual realms. Recognised by the Colombian government as traditional doctors, they are held in high regard as true wise Masters by their own indigenous community and their friends alike. Their Yagé sessions are incredible and it may only be witnessed first hand how powerful and touching they are. When Taita Victoriano played the harmonica and danced, my heart was exploding with joy! Grandfather Taita Don Laureano is too sweet, yet so powerful with his voice, relentlessly singing like a tiger during the ceremony, until the early morning! What a honour and pleasure to heal and learn with them. I hope to be back soon in Putumayo!”

Emile Mac, PORTUGAL

Incomparable Yagé journeys to the Colombian Amazon, with Ayahuasca rituals led by the great indigenous master shamans, spiritual guides and medicine men (Taitas), with the option of shaman-led excursions to magical, sacred, wilderness places and power spots of outstanding natural beauty in the Putumayo jungle.

A magical window to see through – and a door to enter – the world of the Taitas from an inner perspective, as an authentic explorer willing to share, learn, understand and accept the time-honoured ancestral traditions of the Yagé shamans of Colombia. Almost in every Yagé session – once fully intoxicated – Don Victoriano and grandfather Laureano may be heard mimicking the sounds of jungle animals, like jaguars or birds. It’s not uncommon for spirit guides – including the Taitas’ own shamanic ancestors – to show up in ceremony and take the form of spirit jaguars, offering guidance, advice, divination, help and healing. Both Taitas play the harmonica during the Ayahuasca rituals, producing haunting beautiful, mesmerising melodies alternated by secret medicine songs, sang in the (vanquishing) Siona language. Those who have seen them already at work will know how beautiful and powerful the dance of Don Victoriano is during the rituals, with his shacapa leaves fan (know as “guiara”) shaking rhythmically, accompanied by the tunes of his harmonica.
