Masters in humbleness, peace, joy, love and the art of exorcism. With a lifelong practical knowledge of hundreds of medicinal plants, they are a living encyclopedia condensing millenary wisdom, plant medicine, knowledge of the illnesses and of the spiritual realms. Recognized by the Colombian government as traditional doctors, they are held in high regard as true wise Masters by their own indigenous community and their friends alike. Impeccable and patient, brought forth the healing I was waiting for years. With ineffable, lighthearted and sound wisdom they can tailor the right answer to the most difficult situations with a few words. Just talking to them is an awakening and a lesson of a lifetime. Their Yagé sessions are incredible and it may only be witnessed first hand how powerful and touching they are. When Taita Victoriano played the harmonica and danced, my heart was exploding with joy! Grandfather Taita Don Laureano is too sweet, yet so powerful with his voice, relentlessly singing like a tiger during the ceremony, until the early morning! What a honour and pleasure to heal and learn with them. I hope to be back soon in Putumayo!
